Llanelli was awash with a series of activities and events for families today Saturday (March 4). The Llanelli Town Centre Culture Day was funded by Carmarthenshire County Council, Communities First and the Welsh government. Events at the library included story telling, puppet workshops and T-Shirt printing. Llanelly House was offering free tours and a digital workshop on family history. Stiwdio Ffwrness was offering belly dancing workshops and there were a whole host of other events centred around the market and St Elli Centre. Spring Gardens became a centre for marquees housing local charity groups and organisations including The Llanelli Railway Goods Shed. The weather was not kind but there were plenty of families enjoying the atmosphere with children having their faces painted and taking part in workshops including circus skills and drumming.
